Please come along to Toi Tauranga at 11 am Saturday 4th of March and hear Senior Curator Serena Bentley in conversation with Paul Darragh and Yvonne Todd. Then meet and greet all the artists behind Work Out, a suit of five artist projects. The exhibition brings together street artists, industrial designers, fashion stylists and video directors, resulting in a riot of colour and energy throughout the Gallery. Meet artist Zoë Hall, Miriama Grace-Smith, Gina Kiel, of the Dream Art Girls, Paul Darragh, Yvonne Todd, Simon Ward and Turumeke Harrington.

Tauranga Art Gallery Senior Curator Serena Bentley says: “Work Out celebrates the breadth of creative practice across multiple forms and outcomes. Each Work Out project is aspirational, revealing the different ways in which artists negotiate the art world and wider creative contexts while also acknowledging the labor involved in being an artist. Assembled with younger audiences in mind, it’s an invitation to be bold, think big and forge your own path”.

This is a casual morning providing the opportunity for the art curious, aspiring artists, or art connoisseurs to speak casually and gain insight into creative processes with artists successfully crossing the commercial and fine art threshold.
