Night at the Museum

A night of storytelling through collections

For this special one-night-only event we are joined by holders of significant collections in the Bay of Plenty area. Each speaker will introduce us to their holdings through one important Taonga. Speakers include representatives from Tauranga City Library Archives, Tauranga City Civic Art Collection, Tauranga Art Gallery, Rotorua Museum Te Whare Taonga o Te Arawa, Tauranga Heritage Collection, Private Collection, Toi Ataata, Western Bay Museum, The Elms Te Papa Tauranga.

Koha entry. The night will include music by James J Walker, and refreshments will be available for purchase.

Night at the Museum coincides with Folk Nationalism, an exhibition of paintings by Tāmaki Makaurau-based artist Ayesha Green, whose work questions stories from the past that have come to inform our national identity.
