The workshop has been designed to coincide with our current Te Papa touring exhibition, Rita Angus New Zealand Modernist | He Ringatoi Hou O Aotearoa. We invite skilled portrait artist Lindsey Horne to share her admiration for Rita Angus and share her knowledge and skills in the art of portrait painting.

Come along to the next Creative Sunday Workshop at Tauranga art gallery and learn some tips and tricks to creating your own painted portrait.

Lindsey Horne is an artist and curator based in Tauranga, most recently she has curated and exhibited in 'Artists on Artists' - a group portrait exhibition where each artist is the subject of another artist's work, like links in a chain. She has a background in both fine art and neuroscience and practices her art alongside her role as a behavioural researcher. This deep understanding of people and their inner workings informs her portraiture work.
